Heavy monsoons hit destitute people already suffering from the pandemic, and local missionaries responded with food, clothing and other aid. Workers in one area are continuing to provide relief items to 300 desperate families who lost property and other possessions to flooding. In another area, workers withstood leeches as they made their way into mountains to people who had no food in their homes due to the pandemic. “Their faces lit up as they received the food rations, and they were so grateful,” the ministry leader said. Workers throughout the region rely on donations of $35 or $70 to provide such disaster relief. Pray that restored lives will redound in praise for the Lord.
“God is not unjust; he will not forget your work and the love you have shown him as you have helped his people and continue to help them.” (Hebrews 6:10)
