Saturday, January 22 – Uganda
In areas of deep poverty, local missionaries made medicines and drugs available to destitute people and their children at no cost, saving some lives and improving the quality of others. Needy villagers were also grateful for food and basic hygiene items, as well as education for their children. Among 300 people who received regular food aid were poor children, widows, the elderly and people with disabilities. Workers were able to share the gospel as they provided aid and counseled and encouraged the downtrodden. Donations of $35 or $70 are sought to provide such compassionate aid to the poor. Pray the Lord would be glorified as people are made whole in His name.
